Intensive Stroke Clinic!!!! Many of you have been asking for it, and we are going to offer it
again this year, only a little different. On Thursday, June 22nd, Dynamo will be coming to Briarmoor for a 2 hour stroke
clinic, free of charge to all Sharks, ages 7-14. All 15-18 Sharks are asked to attend as peer helpers, but you will
be getting the tips at the same time. This clinic will be held from 9am-11am. All 6 & Unders will have practice
from 8:30-9:00am, and it will be their own mini-clinic, done with Coach Brit and Coach Lauren. If you have any questions
about this clinic, please email Coach Brit!

As an update on the team computer situation, we graciously recieved a donation of a laptop from a pool member.
With the money we raised, we bought odds and ends to help the computer run, and are looking into purchasing a trophy case
for our county trophies, as well as backstroke flag poles and other things to help the team run more smoothly. Thanks
to all who donated towards our computer fund!
5-14-06 Instead of turning all the shark swimmers into icecubes, the coaches have decided to postpone practice starting
until Wednesday, May 17th. Regardless of the water temperature, we will be having practice on that day, but we may have to
do drylands instead. Please wear shorts, shirts, shoes, and bring a towel incase we cannot hit the water! See you soon!

Parents, the team needs your help! The entire league is changing the way the swim meets are being
run. Instead of those crazy half sheets and a million different lane assignment pages, we are going digital! Our team
purchased the HyTek Software programs last year, and will be able to combine our meet entries with those of other teams in
order to produce professional heatsheets, timers forms, ribbion stickers, place judge forms, and more. In order to run
the meets with this software, our team needs to have a laptop and a printer. These need to be items the team can keep
year-round. The laptop does not need the bells and whistles. The minimum requirements are a Pentium, Celeron,
or AMD computer of at least 300 MHz (preferably a 1 GHz or faster) with at least 64 MB of RAM (preferably 128 MB of RAM or
more), either Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows ME, or Windows XP or XP Pro, a floppy and CD drive, USB ports,
and a printer plug. We would prefer a laser printer, because of the amount of time it takes to print a large number
of pages. If we cannot find someone who would be willing to donate either of these items, we are going to need to find
monetary donations. If you would be willing to help with either, PLEASE contact Coach Brit ASAP! Thank you so
much!!

The part that was ordered to fix the pump has come in, and they will be working on it this afternoon. Unless it, for
some reason, ends up not working, plan on having practice! See you at the pool!!
5-01-05
The season is so close!
Unfortunatly, we are not able to practice at Lakeside High School like we had planned. There is a probem with the
pump, and the county needs to close it down to fix it!
We will be starting practice on Wednesday, May 11th! Please mark your calendars!
Remember that we have the same swimsuits as last year, but if you need to order a new one, you have to go directly through
Betty Hill, with FriendsUnlimited.
There are registration forms in the Briarmoor mailbox, please bring them with you to your first day of practice.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!
